n 2015, Tony and Austin Ferrari, who were living and working in San Francisco at the time, started working on their ideal coffee shop that would one day exist in Cincinnati. The idea of the coffee shop was to give back to their mother, a place where she could work around people & help the growing Cincinnati community after years of being a painter. The original idea for Mom ‘n ‘em Coffee was an airstream coffee shop, but due to city restrictions, they were unable to do such, so they decided to put it in the house they purchased on the corner of Colerain and Bates in Camp Washington. The name “Mom ‘n ‘em” comes from the radio station 700 WLW, where their father use to listen almost every other day. One of the broadcasters would ask the other “Hey, how is your mom ‘n ‘em doing?” Eventually the saying started flowing through the family and so it became a reality at the coffee shop. Mom ‘n ‘em is dedicated to Theresa Ferrari, Tony and Austin’s mother. She worked hard raising her children and they never grew up with much, always working for what they wanted. Tony and Austin just wanted to give back to their mother with something fun, while helping build an untouched unique neighborhood. Mom ‘n ‘em Coffee serves house made pastries, breakfast items such as avocado toast, egg sandwiches, coffee & tea. In addition, Mom ’n ‘em acts as a natural wine shop & wine bar with wines picked out by one of the Ferrari brother’s who is also certified sommelier; Austin Ferrari.
