We chose this First Harvest Matcha from amazing farmers in Kagoshima, Kyoto & Shizuoka for its bright, fresh character and beautifully smooth finish. It’s vibrant without being overwhelming, with a gentle sweetness and a little toastiness that makes every cup feel special. We are excited to share it with you in your home rituals or wherever you might take it.
100% First Harvest Ceremonial Grade Matcha from Japan.
Matcha is happiest when kept cool, dark, and tightly sealed. Store in an airtight container away from heat, sunlight, moisture, and strong odors. For the best flavor and freshness, keep refrigerated after opening and let the matcha come to room temperature before opening the container to help prevent condensation. Enjoy within a few weeks of opening for the brightest flavor.
What does First Harvest mean? First harvest, also called first flush, is the first picking of tea leaves in early spring after the tea plants' winter dormancy. These young, tender leaves are prized for their vibrant color, fresh flavor, natural sweetness, and smooth texture.
```What is Ceremonial Grade? Ceremonial grade generally refers to matcha made from high-quality, young tea leaves that are carefully harvested and traditionally stone-milled into a fine powder. Our matcha is hand-plucked, stone-milled, and air-freighted from Japan to preserve its freshness and character. The result is a bright green matcha with a smooth, clean finish.
How much caffeine is in the matcha? You can expect roughly 60 milligrams of caffeine in about 2 grams of matcha. To compare, it is like drinking a little over a half a cup of brewed coffee.
1. Scoop 1 tsp / 3 g of matcha into a bowl.
