Storage Instructions

Matcha is happiest when kept cool, dark, and tightly sealed. Store in an airtight container away from heat, sunlight, moisture, and strong odors. For the best flavor and freshness, keep refrigerated after opening and let the matcha come to room temperature before opening the container to help prevent condensation. Enjoy within a few weeks of opening for the brightest flavor.

Additional Details

What does First Harvest mean? First harvest, also called first flush, is the first picking of tea leaves in early spring after the tea plants' winter dormancy. These young, tender leaves are prized for their vibrant color, fresh flavor, natural sweetness, and smooth texture.

What is Ceremonial Grade? Ceremonial grade generally refers to matcha made from high-quality, young tea leaves that are carefully harvested and traditionally stone-milled into a fine powder. Our matcha is hand-plucked, stone-milled, and air-freighted from Japan to preserve its freshness and character. The result is a bright green matcha with a smooth, clean finish.

How to make matcha at home:

1. Scoop 1 tsp / 3 g of matcha into a bowl.
2. Add 60 g / 2 oz of water at 170°F.
3. Whisk until bubbly and frothy.
4. Enjoy!
